Cells: tap to cycle — normal (solid) → hard (white core, 40% louder) → soft (small and dim) → off. Hold a note and drag up or down to change its pitch, or right to hold it over the steps after it: its tail shows how long it lasts, up to the lane's next note. Copy and paste: the dashed square beside ↶ selects cells: drag across a block, or tap cells one at a time (a lane's name takes its row). Copy or Cut, go to any bar of any section and Paste: the cells land on the steps they came from, or start on a cell you select first. ← → move the selection a step; Delete empties it. Play in: four drum pads and a keyboard in the section's scale. Tap them to play; ● Rec counts in a bar, then records them into the grid as the beat plays, each hit on the nearest step, over what is there. A key held down records a held note. One ↶ takes a take back. Start: on an empty section, Starter beat at the end of the Song row fills it with a four-bar beat for the kit. Undo: ↶, next to “all”, takes back the last edit — including Clear all. Bars: tap a number to look at that bar; tap it again to add it to the loop, or take it out. Any set works, including 1 and 3 with 2 skipped. Hold a number to loop just that bar, or drag across numbers for a range. “all” clears the loop. Double-tap a number to jump there. Song: each chip is a section in the running order. Tap to work on it, tap again to mute it, drag to reorder, hold to play the song from there. + section adds a new pattern, repeat puts the selected one in twice, Join plays the seam into the next one. Lanes: tap a lane name for its voice, sample, tone, grit, level, echo and space. Swing: beside the tempo. 50% is straight; higher plays each pair of sixteenths long, short, the way an MPC counts it. A kit brings its own. Mix: the Mix bar has the tape echo (how far apart, how many repeats, how dark), Room or Spring reverb, Pump (each kick ducks the bass, the leads and the phrases, and they swell back), and a row per lane: Mute drops it out, the slider sends it to the echo, and holding Throw catches a hit in the echo. Mutes and throws are live and not saved; a video recording keeps them. Sweeps: under the lanes in Mix, for the section on screen: tap a lane to make its filter rise (open from dark to its Tone across the four bars, for a build), fall (close, for a drop) or neither. An arrow over the lane's name says it sweeps. Footage: “+ Video” opens the clip library or your camera — a take can run five minutes, and you choose bars out of it like a film. Every section has footage of its own. In the video menu, tap an empty bar to select it, tap a clip to reopen it where it starts. “Cut” jumps the clip on the beat. Effects: the Effects button in the video menu sets which lane triggers which effect. ✕ closes it without applying. Stems: Share → Stems & MIDI saves a zip for a DAW: a WAV for each lane with its own echo and reverb, every one from beat 1, that add up to the beat; every lane's notes as a MIDI file; and a note of the tempo, swing and key.
